Meet the team
Our classrooms are named after ancient coppices in Bentley Woods near Farley
The Manager at Steeple Langford is Lisa Humby, who has held the BTEC National Diploma in Early Years Childcare and Education for 12 years. Lisa loves everything about Farley, especially the variety of the opportunities available for learning outside and being part of an innovative Nursery. Formerly Room Supervisor at Farley 1, Lisa is now full time in her first Nursery Management post.
Andrea Busby runs the office at Steeple Langford, having recently joined Farley Nursery School. She has over 20 years administrative experience, 5 of these working as administrator in a children's nursery and as a Health Visitor's clerk. She has 3 children of her own, one of whom is enjoying attending the Farley Holiday Club!

Kerry Dumpleton runs the baby room, called Marigold. Kerry started at Farley 4 years ago. In that time Kerry has achieved her NVQ3 in Childcare and Education. Kerry is now Marigold Supervisor at Farley, Steeple Langford. Kerry feels that Farley has a family atmosphere that encourages the baby's social development through interaction with all age groups. Their physical development is encouraged through the space and freedom they have around them. Kerry feels this ensures the babies are calm and content at all times.

Harriett Edwards takes over from Kerry when the children reach about 18 months and they move into Merrygrove. Harriet is the Supervisor of Merrygrove. Harriett gained her Diploma in Childcare Level 3, 6 years ago and joined the team at Farley in 2010.
The main reason Harriett loves Farley is that it offers so much to children that other nurseries don't. "I feel very lucky to be able to share experiences with the children such as sitting around the campfire, and going on woodland walks." The outdoor, family atmosphere means the children are all very physically and emotionally confident which is fantastic.

The next stage is the move to Bee Garden where they are looked after by supervisor Jade Munday. Jade gained her Diploma Level Three in Childcare and Education five years ago, and joined a mainstream Day Nursery where the children were mainly inside. Having come to Farley Jade says she can really see the difference being outside makes to a child's development and behaviour. Jade also enjoys sharing experiences with the children that other day care providers cannot offer, such as open fires and walking in the woods and by the river and lakes.

Finally, the last move is into Top Conker, where Nikki Guest helps the children prepare for their move to "big school." Nikki currently holds level 3 NVQ in early years childcare and has been a practitioner for 9 years.
Nikki loves the magic of teaching children in an outdoor environment where their imagination is easier to fire. "Farley allows us the freedom to be who or what we want to be, making the children's learning and my job FUN!"
